SNAPPER ADDS MORE ENGINE AND DECK OPTIONS TO S800X OUT-FRONT RIDING MOWER (October 29, 2009)

Munnsville, NY (October 29, 2009) - Snapper Pro is adding two new engine options and a 72" iCD™ Cutting System to its S800x out-front riding mower line-up. The two new engines include a 30-hp Yanmar diesel and a 31-hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard™ gasoline engine. Both engines will be available with either a 72" cutting deck or the new 61" iCD Cutting System.

A ground speed of up to 10 mph combined with 61" or 72" cutting decks means the S800x can mow up to six acres per hour (at 80% efficiency). The out-front design makes the S800x perfect for trimming around trees, bushes and landscaped areas with ease.

The S800x's dual hydrostatic system provides smooth, reliable operation. Each drive wheel is individually powered by a fan cooled pump and wheel motor. The pivoting rear axle in conjunction with the floating front frame allows the S800x to follow the contours of the landscape for a precise manicured finish.

An easy-to-use electric deck lift takes the effort out of adjusting cutting height from 1.5" - 5". The electric lift also angles the deck up to make blade and deck maintenance a snap. The mower deck features cast-iron greaseable spindles for longer useable life. The discharge chute is made from recycled rubber that flexes when it comes in contact with objects.

Newly styled twin 6-gallon fuel tanks with extra large filler neck feature a cup holder, large storage compartment, ergonomically designed control panel and hour meter. The S800x is equipped with certified Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) with a retractable seat belt.
